✓ ZOA Energy, with the help of beverage incubator LA Libations, donated nearly 15,000 cans to first responders

The wildfires that broke out over the past weeks in Southern California have been some of the most destructive and costly in the area’s history. While firefighters and first responders continue the work needed to contain many of the fires, Molson Coors has stepped up to help, donating $100,000 in direct and in-kind assistance for relief efforts.

The donation will go to several initiatives supporting first responders and service-industry workers. One of the programs is the California Restaurant Foundation’s Restaurants Care, which offers financial support to restaurant and bar employees impacted by the wildfires.

Senior Manager of Community Affairs Michael Nordman says Molson Coors is committed to doing what it can to support the industry.

“In a time of such devastation and disruption, we are glad to do our part to support local bars, restaurants and their hardworking staffs,” said Nordman.

Alycia Harshfield, president of the California Restaurant Foundation, said that Molson Coors’s donation will directly help service industry workers during this challenging time.

"We are deeply grateful to Molson Coors Beverage Company for its generous donation to Restaurants Care's Los Angeles Fires 2025 Relief Grants," she said. "This support will make a meaningful difference for restaurant owners and their employees impacted by the devastating fires, helping them to begin rebuilding their lives and find a sense of immediate hope during this challenging time."

Another program that will receive support from Coors Banquet and Blue Run Spirits is California Fire Foundation’s Wildfire & Disaster Relief Fund. Supporting firefighters is nothing new for Coors Banquet, which has partnered with Wildland Firefighter Foundation to raise more than $2.5 million over the past ten years with its Protect Our Protectors program. That money has gone to help the families of injured or killed firefighters.

ZOA Energy, Molson Coors’ better-for-you energy drink, is also helping out. It joined with beverage incubator and accelerator, LA Libations, to donate nearly 15,000 cans of ZOA for Los Angeles first responders.

Thanks to a donation and in-kind product, the Reyes Beverage Group has partnered with Molson Coors to support these relief efforts.

Nordman said that Molson Coors always looks for ways to offer support to hard-hit areas, whether by providing water to the areas hit by Hurricane Helene in September to donations like this one.

“When tragedy strikes, Molson Coors is committed to helping our industry, and that includes the thousands of service-industry workers who’ve been evacuated or affected by the wildfires raging across Southern California,” he said.
