With warmer weather on the way, Keystone Light knows its fans are ready to get into a “gone fishing” state of mind.
That’s why the brand is continuing its popular fishing promotion with chances for 21+ consumers to win an array of fishing merch and gear, along with, for the first time, exclusive fishing experiences.
Keystone Light’s Marketing Manager, Allison Miller, says the program is another way for the brand to connect with its core rural and new legal drinking-age consumers.
“Fishing is a passion point for our fans, and this year we want Keystone Light to be their smooth companion on the water,” she says.
For the second year in a row, Keystone Light has new fishing thematic packaging in stores to promote the program. But thanks to the brand’s newly refreshed visual identity unveiled in December, the fishing packs stand out even more.
“The fishing theme is brought through much more overtly this year,” says Miller. “It really drives the fishing theme home, with a lake and fishing lures on a dock.”
The recent design refresh also centered the can on the packaging, allowing for the cases to look more dramatic when placed together.
“This allows for dramatic billboarding when the brand is stacked together on display or on the shelf,” she says.
Fishing Sweepstakes
The fishing-themed packs also feature prominent QR codes, making it easy for legal drinking-age consumers to enter to win multiple fishing-related prizes.
Grand prize winners can land one of five regional fishing experiences for themselves and up to five of their friends.
“This is the ultimate fishing getaway. Winners and their guests will get hotel accommodations, a guided fishing experience and a $1,500 travel stipend,” says Miller. “We’ll remove the stress of planning so you can focus on enjoying a perfect day with Keystone Light and new gear this season.”
The five regional fishing trips are spread across the country, and include Orofino, Idaho; Lake of the Woods, Minnesota; Lake Erie, Pennsylvania; Pawleys Island, South Carolina; and Austin/Lago Vista, Texas.
Legal drinking-age consumers also have the chance to instantly win other fishing-themed prizes, including fishing gear from the outdoor apparel company Realtree®. Prizes include tackle box coolers, fishing vests and fishing shirts sporting a custom Realtree fishing pattern.
To enter, legal drinking-age consumers can scan the QR code on Keystone Light’s fishing-themed packaging or visit www.keystonelight.com/fishing. The program lasts until April 30.
Miller says the new fishing packs have already arrived in stores, and they are making an impact. She added that the brand is already excited to showcase thematic packs for its other big programs this year, including “Smooth Salute” and “The Hunt.”
